Philosophy of a Family-Centred Service
We aim to provide a secure, caring and stimulating environment in which relationships can evolve and each Childs’ identity and sense of self is valued.
To facilitate learning and development through play, both child and adult initiated, as a natural way for children and babies to develop and master skills in the outdoor and indoor environments.
We understand the importance of mental health and wellbeing in children and will endeavour to reduce the daily stress on a child by providing predictable routines and familiar educators, and by offering children time and flexibility to observe others, and experience the joys of both active and quiet play.
To provide quality child care that is sensitive to each child as a unique individual with diverse heritage, culture, family background, knowledge and skills.
To respect the contribution play makes to child development and provide a program of planned play-based learning that is responsive to children’s interests, and offers a balance of challenges and opportunities for success.
To create an environment where individual staff and team potential can be optimally and regularly developed for the benefit of the children, parents and community.
We will promote parent and community involvement to ensure acceptance and awareness of the importance of Early childhood education and care, both internally and within the wider community.
