At Jack & Jill Early Learning, we know childcare costs are an important consideration for families. The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is a government payment designed to help reduce your out-of-pocket fees. The amount you receive depends on factors like your household income, your activity levels (work, study or volunteering), and your child’s attendance. CCS is paid directly to us as your provider, so your fees are reduced before you’re billed. All families are now eligible for at least 72 hours of subsidised care per fortnight (around 3 days per week), regardless of activity levels.
While most families qualify for CCS, the percentage varies from family to family. To make sure you’re receiving the correct subsidy, it’s important to keep your details up to date with Centrelink — especially your income estimate and activity hours. If your circumstances change, your CCS may change too.
