Yes, for some age groups we maintain a waiting list, particularly for our nursery rooms which have limited spaces. We recommend registering your interest as early as possible.

Jack & Jill Early Learning is open from 6am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Please notify the centre as early as possible if your child will be absent. This helps us plan our day effectively.

As a rule we don’t swap days as this becomes difficult to ensure we operate within our licensed numbers and maintain appropriate educator to child ratios.

No – this is a planned closure so no fees are charged.

If your child becomes unwell, we’ll contact you immediately to discuss their symptoms and arrange for collection if necessary. We follow strict health policies to ensure the wellbeing of all children in our care.

We can administer prescribed medication provided it’s in its original packaging with a pharmacy label showing your child’s name and dosage information. You’ll need to complete a medication authority form and hand the medication directly to an educator.

We operate within the “No Jab, No Play” system, so a child must be on an approved up to date immunisation schedule to be eligible to enrol and receive CCS. However, you may be eligible to enrol if you have an approved letter of exemption (you may not be eligible for CCS under these circumstances).

We are a nut-free, allergy-aware centre. Please inform us of any allergies or dietary requirements during enrolment, and we’ll work with you to ensure your child’s needs are met appropriately.

Our educators either have or are working towards a Certificate III in Children’s services, a Diploma in Children’s services, or a Bachelor of Early Childhood teaching. All hold current First Aid Qualifications including Anaphylaxis and Asthma training. Learn more about our educator qualifications here.

We have a core team of long-serving educators and together we cover any absences by part-time or casual staff adding hours. If we are unable to cover absences in this way, we have relationships with agencies “Save Our Service” and “Murdock Education” who will send us an appropriately qualified educators to cover our needs.

We provide nutritious, freshly prepared morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea. Our seasonal menus are displayed weekly in the centre and on our parent
communication app, OWNA. Read more about our meals here.

Please bring a bag containing a change of clothes appropriate for the weather, a water bottle, comfort items if needed, and a sheet set for rest time. For babies, please also include nappies, bottles and formula if required. For more information on what to bring click here.

Through our OWNA app, you’ll receive regular updates including photos of your child engaged in activities, information about meals, sleep times, and learning experiences.

We provide rest time for all children, recognising that sleep needs vary. For those who don’t sleep, we offer quiet activities after a short rest period. View

The CCS is a government subsidy that helps with childcare costs. Eligibility depends on your family’s circumstances. Our administration team can guide you through the application process and explain how it applies to your fees. Learn more about CCS here.

We understand occasional delays happen, but we do charge a late fee for pickups after our closing time. Please call the centre if you’re running late.
